Sitting in this overly air conditioned computer room in my dorm I decided to share a few images of my sister. This beautiful girl's name is Shannon Randell, remember the name and the face because I'm sure it isn't the last you'll hear of her. She has been my best friend ever since we lined up outside our 5th form Biology class... It's one of those friendships that you don't know how exactly you became so close so quickly, but like most great relationships - it just happened. Beautiful inside and out with brains to match, I feel sorry for the guy that will have to convince her dad and family (myself included) that he's going to be able look after her for the rest of his life. I love her like a sister and respect her as a woman. They say friends are the family we choose - But sometimes I feel like someone else chose them for me.

One of the boys

For nearly 12 years I was surrounded by boys, until the arrival of my long awaited baby sister. Today is one of those days that I miss my brothers. I miss their laughter, their jokes, even their fighting. I miss knowing that they're just down the hallway, or in the room next door. I miss being able to jump on their beds and talk to them in ways only a big sister could understand, I miss knowing that we can be worse enemies one day and then thick as thieves the next. I love having brothers and look forward to the day when they'll one day become uncles, fathers and husbands. My bodyguards, comedians, therapists and most of all my best friends.
